The Vocational Rehabilitation Program is designed for persons who have been diagnosed with a documented disability or disabilities such as

and are focused upon an employment goal. 

The purpose of the program is to assist these individuals with employment & educational guidance, assistance and employment resources.  Examples of VR services include, but not limited, to the following:  Employment placement, employment counseling & guidance, training services, vocational/technical or college enrollment, medical evaluations and post employment services. 

Enrolled members of the Tunica Biloxi Tribe, Jena Band of Choctaw and Coushatta Tribe members who reside in Avoyelles, Rapides, Grant, LaSalle, Jeff Davis, Calcasieu, Pointe Coupee, Allen, St. Laundry, Acadia, Evangeline, Catahoula and Lafayette parishes are eligible to apply for services. 

All services are individualized to fit the clients needs.  In addition, any tribal student between the ages of 15-18 with a documented disability that wants to prepare for the workplace after high school or prepare for college/technical school are encouraged to apply. These students would fall under our Transitional Students program.
