The Tunica Biloxi Tribe of LA Healthy Transition Program’s mission is to assist young American Indian adults between the ages of 16-25 with serious mental health Illnesses, co-occurring disorders, and substance abuse issues by focusing on outreach & engagement, screening & detection, different forms of treatment, and increasing awareness. The program is grant funded by SAMHSA.

 Healthy Transition Program serves Tunica Biloxi Tribal members that reside in Avoyelles, Rapides and Calcasieu Parishes. Treatment Services include mental health screenings, specialized individualized counseling, peer support, cultural based and holistic treatment, support services, illness management and recovery. Involvement is focus groups is also available. Services are provided for short term. Case management is available if needed.
